My LJ name, Miss Murchison, is taken from a character in Dorothy L. Sayers' classic mystery novel, "Strong Poison." Miss M is a dowdy middle-aged woman who is more than she appears to be. I can't claim her skills at safe-cracking, but it does amuse me to look around at PTA meetings and wonder if anyone else there writes vampire porn.

I wrote fanfic for a long time, but recently I've had an original M/M romance published by Dreamspinner Press. No vampires, just two guys from Iowa who fall in love. The Boys and the Bees is available in paperback and ebook.

My real life is so normal, it's almost disturbing. It's the kind of life people have in scary movies just before the monsters attack. Job, husband, kids. I'm very boring.

My job and family can keep me very busy, so I may disappear from LJ for long stretches. I try to keep up the best I can.

I usually don't lock anything except stories about my family. Feel free to friend me here or anywhere else.
